I was admitted to hospital suffering abdominal cramps. I had been diagnosed with a urinary infection and pelvic inflammatory disease, which the doctors said was very serious. After two days hooked up to an intravenous drip delivering antibiotics straight to my bloodstream the pain had subsided but I felt weak and battered having not eaten for over 5 days.

On the third day in hospital I was given an ultrasound scan that revealed cysts on both ovaries. On my left ovary the cyst was 10cm across (4in.) and on the right ovary multiple cysts were detected. I was shattered and very scared. When the Doctors informed me of this, I frozen. He asked me quite coldly,”Have you finished having your family?”

What kind of question was that? All sorts of thoughts raced through my mind. ’What’s going to happen to me? How did I get them? How do I heal them?’
I was paralysed. I was unable to even articulate a simple sentence.

The doctor asked for my consent to perform a laparoscope, urgently the next day, (a procedure whereby a small incision is made just below the belly button and an exploratory camera inserted). The reason for the procedure is to ascertain what types of cysts were present; were they infected , did they pose a serious risk to my health? Of course I could understand why this procedure was necessary. However, what happened next further alarmed me.

I asked what would happen after the operation. Would the surgeon’s findings be discussed with me at a later date?

Would I be involved in the decision –making concerning the result of the laparoscopy?
No, was the reply- what ever we find we will deal with it there and then!
Remember the doctor’s earlier question about my family? (I have two children), I was speechless.
I had to wait until my husband visited me to ask any reasonable questions because my mind had turned to mush.

When my husband arrived the doctor explained the procedure again and said that there was no need to wake me up from a general anaesthetic to discuss the findings. Whatever they found they would deal with! When pressed about the possible removal of one or both of my ovaries, the doctor was vague if not dismissive. I burst out crying. What was happening around me? Who was this doctor that wouldn’t even discuss the worse possible scenario?

We were left to make our decision; we went through all the permutations of the procedure. My husband even found out that if I were to have both of my ovaries removed I would go into early menopause. The doctor DID NOT MENTION THIS. I was 37 at the time.

Trembling and scared I reached for the phone and called Rosie Chapman. As mentioned in my earlier testimonial I had been seeing Rosie for a number of years. I spoke to Steve and in a shaky voice explained my predicament. I asked,” Have you dealt with ovarian cysts before “. “ Yes” Steve chirped. I asked when I could be seen.” Tomorrow” Steve said confidently, at 12.30. I’ll be there I said.

I made the decision to discharge myself from hospital against the advice of the nurses. I was advised to wait for a doctor but none came in the two hours before I left. I walked out slowly and never looked back.
The next day I arrived at the Tree of the Life Clinic weak and in pain. I was greeted by Steve then ushered into the clinic. Rosie did a thorough and comprehensive check of my whole body. She identified the types of cysts and noticed that I was listless and weary. She gave me a remedy that perked me up instantly. After one week of taking the remedies I felt better. I was stronger mentally and my appetite had returned. Steve called as promised and I was pleased to report how I felt .The fourth week I had an ultrasound booked with a private gynaecologist. I went along and had an internal scan, which showed the cysts had completely disappeared. Naturally I was stunned but ecstatically happy.

I was overjoyed and relieved that I had taken such a huge decision over my body. The thought that had I not contacted The Tree of Life Clinic something drastic may have happened, the consequences of which would be far reaching and long term. I could not thank them enough. I returned for my follow up check up with Rosie and was pleased to report the findings of the gynaecologist. Rosie also gave me the all clear.

I learned to follow my instincts and go with my faith in holistic medicine.

January 2006 Onwards

I have since returned to The Tree of Life Clinic for an eye condition which seemed to baffle eye doctors at a top London eye hospital.

My eyes have been progressively dryer and dryer and redder and redder for a few years.
In the morning my lids would be stuck together with a yellow crust on them, when I blinked the were no tears to moisten the eyes and for the day they would remain red, dry and burning with a feeling that there was something inside them- grit or something. I was beside myself. I felt so embarrassed looking at anyone- even my children.

I used over the counter eye drops to clear the redness and fake tears to lubricate the eye surface. I had temporary relief. Eventually I went private, to a top London eye hospital, where I was prescribed a steroid eye drop and antibiotic ointment for my symptoms. Once again I had temporary relief.
I called Steve and made an appointment to see Rosie. She asked me “Have you ever been bitten on the eye?” “Yes” was my immediate response.

Seven years ago on holiday with my family a mosquito had bitten me on my right eye lid and the results of that bite had become apparent in the symptoms I had experienced. Through Rosie’s diagnostic process she identified the eye condition I was suffering from and once again I left the clinic with a hand full of remedies.

That was eight weeks ago and my eyes are so much better. The redness has cleared. In the morning there is less of the yellow crust and the dryness has improved massively.
Prior to my appointment with Rosie I had another appointment at the top London eye hospital where I was prescribed the same steroid eye drops, and oral antibiotics, which I was told I would have to use long term because that was the only way to treat the condition. I left there in tears. But after a few weeks drinking Homeopathic remedies the improvement is there for all to see. My family and friends have even commented on how well I look.

I know these testimonials are long but I wanted to outline exactly what I have been through at the hands of conventional medicine. I would never discount conventional medicine and its uses but I fully support and recommend The Tree of Life Clinic and the wonderful work that is done there.

These are my views and I would like to stress that the advice of a medical practitioner is advisable.

12 yrs ago my husband was diagnosed with a severely overactive Thyroid which, according to the Consultant, would have needed to be treated with radioactive iodine to prevent it from producing Thyroxin. He was told that he would need to take tablets for the rest of his life as a result of having this treatment. Our Homeopath referred him to the Tree of life Clinic. Where he was treated successfully so that the amount of Thyroxin produced by his Thyroid returned to a normal level.

This was utterly amazing but, sadly, has been of no interest to the medical practitioners, he initially sought help from. We have absolute faith in the form of Homeopathy used by Rosie Chapman at the Tree of Life Clinic to diagnose and treat a vast range of illness some of which would be impossible to diagnose and treat with conventionally.

The homeopathy she uses cleanses and stimulates the body to heel itself, this reducing the need for drugs and or surgery or avoiding it altogether.

I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer 2 years ago. I was persuaded to have surgery to remove the cancer it was thought to be possibly affecting the lymph glands also. I do not know whether it was wise for me to agree to this surgery, but the consultant told me that if I did not have the tumour removed it would kill me. Fortunately, the tumour was skilfully removed by keyhole surgery but I decided against chemotherapy to prevent any further spread and went to the Tree of Life for help.

A few months after the surgery a routine test there showed early signs of a carcinoma beginning in the colon, at this early stage it would have been undetectable by conventional medical tests. A six week course of homeopathy cleared it since from my colon and blood tests since then has been normal.

We have frequently been successfully treated for a range of more minor illnesses ranging from a virulent form of flu to Candida. We always prefer to be\ treated at the Tree of Life which does not use conventional drugs to suppress illness but instead uses homeopathy to enable the body to heal itself and thereby strengthening it.
